About The William Brady Charitable Organization Inc.
Over the past 8 years the organization have been successful in operating a residential program. The program target individuals experiencing serious mental problems. The majority of individuals housed in the residential program would normally be living on the streets or residing in a homeless shelter. The program provides residents with shelter, meals, telephone service, and cable TV. The residences also have housekeeping responsibilities, such as cleaning their rooms, kitchen and living area as part of their chores. Each resident is staffed by a full-time live-in monitor. The house monitor is responsible for the daily management of the house including the supervision of tenants. The program is governed by strict roles; however, clients are treated with respect (as adults).
Currently the program operates 6 sober houses with a capacity of 48 individuals. The majority of these individuals are referred by various community and institutional sources. Since the conception in 2009, the program has served more than 3,000 individuals and that number continues to grow.
We have existed through small donations from individuals and organization. Also, we have received assistance from food pantries and local retailers ( e.g., grocery stores, etc.). Mr. Brady and Ms. Carlisle keeps the program running. Our Adopt-A-Client Program allows those individuals with no resources to be adopted by someone who donates funds to the program. The program pays the client’s upkeep for one month. This will cover the clients rent, food and other necessities. The funds are allocated to the following:
•Housing
•Food
•Utilities
•Cable TV
•Access to Telephone Services
•Basic Housekeeping
•Among Other Services
Our Organization collaborates and partners, nurses, case managers, physicians, etc. We also work with numerous public & private organizations and home health care agencies to insure the highest quality of care possible for our clients.
